Re: Kemper Profiling Rack

Hey JK, FYI Some guys on the Kemer forum have put the lunchbox in a rack using the 4 bottom leg screws screwed into a simple perforated rack shelf like the one from Raxxess. The lunchbox is 5u tall. FYI I've read that many guys on the forum use the Voodoo GCP, and apparently it works perfectly. BTW,...

Re: Kemper Profiling Rack

Congrats JK. Hope the wait is not too long. FYi, there's a new Kemper-specific chip available for a behringer FC1010 floorboard, in case you need that. Only real pedal I'm still using is my wah, and maybe my ocd. I still like the lunchbox version for two reason: i can prop/tilt it back to see the di...

Re: Kemper Profiling Rack

From the Kemper forum, it takes pedals just like the real amp. I've not tried any with mine yet. Plenty in the box that sound better than anything I have. And the wah has tons of parameters to suit, but i'm not sure about the feel of a midi treadle. But i haven't fully got a handle on programming my...

Re: Kemper Profiling Rack

Yeah, I understand. That's brilliant. Judging by your clip, and a hunch, the Radial may be the way to get the truest amp profile! And there are plenty of pro studio cabs out there already (with ton of bricks whallop)

Re: Kemper Profiling Rack

Wicked! I'll watch for your collection on the Kemper Exchange site. That demonstration, about a minute from the end, when you roll back the guitar's volume is mind blowing! And there's also the sub-menu that can change the virtual bias, clarity, definition etc, on the amp, and some other cool parame...

Re: Kemper Profiling Rack

Tx. Will check that out. Best sound system so far has been a solid state power amp into low-fi 2-way Squier wedge monitors. Shredability increased 4X already!

Re: Kemper Profiling Rack

I just got a Kemper too! What a blast! I got the lunchbox model (acknowledging I'm a baby-boomer couch player.) There are some VM profiles on the web. I'll load and campare them to the real amp. Big advantage is that most or all of the oumph is retained even at low playing volumes. And it cleans up....

Beauty! Nice inlays. There's almost room for an extra fret on there! What value of pots did you use?

It sounds like the crowd is cheering? Could it have been a pre-arranged publicity stunt?

Re: Colaberation song with my German uncle

Thanks for the tip on the GR-55.

Looks like there's a $100 mail in rebate from Roland Till June 30th 2012. USA deales only.
Rebate promotion for GR-55

And it looks like Amazon has the best price at the momenl.

Re: Colaberation song with my German uncle

Wow! Great song and sounds, even just on my iPad 1 speaker (which is unfortunately the only thing i ever get a chance to listen to). I play some covers that have sax solos that i've been faking on guitar. Now i've GOT to buy a GR55! I was always worried about the added complexity of PA'ing and monit...

Re: What pickups for a Mahogany strat should i use?

I have a Fender Showmaster HH Strat that's some kind of mahogany or nato. You could check out clips of that. The 57 classic you mentioned may not have 4 wire wiring for the 5position switch.

Re: SigX vs JVM410 vs knucklehead vs Triaxis?

Thanks for the comments. It turns out all three amp options had been sitting on the classifieds a long time. So based on the quick responses my VHT got, it should retain its value better for a while anyway. So i kept it and now having tried some 6550 for change from it's KT88's, i like better even. ...
