While I have to give him credit for stopping what appeared to him to be indecent behaviour towards a minor female, I find it hard to get around his totally offensive language. Would you want your 15-year-old-daughter to be exposed to that sort of foul language? He certainly could have made his point...

Interesting note. When I pulled out that 84M and put the JJ 84 back in, its like I took a blanket off the amp! I guess I had jus gotten used to it. But its an incredible little amp again!!!!

A tube swap fixed it!

BTW. I have a Sovtek EL-84M installed. Some users have reported fuses blowing with this tube in a C5. Perhaps that's the problem...

Didn't have to hit the switch...it just came back. Almost like an overload relay had kicked in or something...

I've never had a problem with my Class 5 head, but today for the first time I tried to play it really cranked.
Kicked in the tubescreamer and Big Muff, it lasted for about 2 seconds, then shut down.
In about 5 seconds it was up again.
But continued the same process.

I've had the 84M in my Class 5 head for about a month now. Played daily, but never turned up past 6. But no problems so far...

I wanted just a little more headroom, so I tried the JJ EL 84m.
Very pleased with the results....
