Re: Uli Jon Roth Rig Rundown

I love Uli! I dare say without him the Scorpions might not have survived the early years. I bought the 1st three LP's he put out with his solo band Electric Sun after he left Scorpions. Earthquake and Firewind were GREAT but Beyond the Astral Skies was a bit too far out there for me. Very down to ea...

Re: Walking on the Moon

Been trying to improve my riff/rhythm playing lately. Here is a song I recorded this Friday. No frills - just nice music and tones. Hope you enjoy this classic. https://www.youtube.com/edit?o=U&video_id=v8CYclgy2aY Thanks for sharing! I dig it! Regatta de Blanc was the 2nd and last really good albu...

I guess you are right but plant's moaning on this one just kills me. I am not really a big fan of dancing so i guess i missed the point on this one. This is my kind of Zeppelin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9K-Zv_pTfk Purchased this LP in Germany at the PX in 1976 when it came out and my favori...

Re: $375,000

A 59 LP is only worth it's weight in gold if you are (/were) D. Allman, G. Harrison, Eric Clapton or the Rev. B. Gibbons. Me, personally? I prefer the 1960 LP R0.

Re: Stealin' when I should have been buyin'

I love the Heep. I bought the German / European versions / covers of Very 'eavy, Very 'umble, Salisbury, Look at Yourself, The Magician's Birthday and Demons and Wizards around 1974/75 when we lived in Germany. They were BIG back then. Full-time residents on my iPod.

Re: Gibson Set to Sell Memphis Guitar Factory

Here's an interesting read about the current state of the guitar industry, as a whole (not too long or complex for the average "rock 'n roller").
Why my guitar gently weeps The slow, secret death of the six-string electric. And why you should care.

Small shop (Tante Emma Laden)? Maybe make a counter offer for a little less. They'll become collectors items for sure (no one's buying them) ;-)

Very nice! Sounds as though someone has made a full recovery!

I think you should rename yourself "Niccolo" and be done with it!

Re: Alpeggio and his open heart surgery

Hello Al, Until yesterday evening, I had been absent from the forum for a few months but was unpleasantly surprised and very sorry to have read of your cardiac surgery. As an RN and with a background in critical care (surgical ICU), I can fully appreciate the underlying pathophysiology associated wi...
