Re: Who is this?

Having listened to a lot of live Clapton, I think the love he felt toward his best friends wife really tore him up pretty good. It defiantly showed in his songs. His cover of "Have You Ever Loved a Woman" comes to mind. In the end though, from what I remember, Harrison had no hard feelings. Even af...

Re: Slash on DirecTV tonight

I saw these guys live during Spring 2013. They were playing mostly G'n'R songs, so I was really missing Axl's voice, and Myles was very boring on stage. But I really like the songs and Myles' voice on the new album, and these clips were great!

Re: For all you low wattage amp metalheads.

I have tried all the other Hotones (briefly), except this one, and the only one that sounded ok was the Thunder Bass. You could get nice and full cleans (for guitar) with that. I did not try the recording out of the amps, though.

Sledgehammer, that ZZ Top clip was groovy!

Re: Park Amplifiers Introduces the Park 75

Well, everything Lance Keltner plays sounds amazing, but there is something special about the Park 75 in addition to the history Thank for sharing Van HeGen It sounded very good. I see you are from Finland. May I ask you to start another thread about Monster Amps from Finland. http://www.monsteramp...

Re: RIP Jack Bruce 71yrs old

And one of his greatest songs, Theme For an Imaginary Western became one of Mountain's most well-known songs. He did great stuff with Leslie West, and in addition to blues with Trower and Gary Moore he played fusion, jazz, and much more. But Cream is what most people will remember him for. I think I...

Re: What's Your Favorite Album From 1973

You've mentioned a lot of good albums, already. My all-time favourite albums from that year were the Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin albums, with ZZ Top not too far behind. However, Aerosmith made their debut that year and "Dream On" is a classic. I also listened a lot to Nazareth "Razamanaz" that yea...

Re: J. Bonamassa concert

And on the new album he even plays a strat, which brings out a different aide of him. When he grabs a Les Paul, 335 or Flying V he goes more fore the single notes (that sounds great), but with the strat he pöays differently - as you would with a strat. Anyway, a guy who likes Paul Kossoff can't be b...

Re: Going to see Robin Trower on Saturday

I've seen him live a few times in the recent years, but he has never sounded as good as on the Live 1975 album, where especially "Daydream" contains IMHO the most beautiful guitar playing, and sound, ever, in any song. If somebody is not familiar with it, skip to 6:50 in the video/album link. Having...
