Easily the best amp I've ever tried and owned. Not for everyone obviously but simply slays for my purposes. I play in a cover band and there isn't a tone I can't get, simply amazing head. Period!! Takes a while to dial in but well worth it.
To cut/stand out in a mix with a 2 guitar players band you need a little extra volume and pick attack, which is usually associated with mids and higher frequencies. Anyway for as good as an eq might be, no eq that I know changes radically the amps basic voicing and feel. When I had the JVM HJS I wa...
I think that's why I hate most Marshall's, the top end ear splitting sizzle!! Lol!! I love my HJS, that's all, just love it. I giggle every time I turn it on.
That's funny, to my ears the 410H is horrible, sounds very fizzy and noisy. I love all the channels of my HJS and the gates are deadly. I can go from 80`s to 90`s to 2000`s and love every change. I did hate it through my V30 cab and G12H cab though, love it through my G12T-75 1960 cab. I think it`s ...

I posted over at MarshallForum as well but figured here wouldn't hurt either. I have one power tube not working on my head. I live up north and only have access to 2 matched GT EL34MD's. Where should they go(both on one side, both in the middle, both on the outside?) and can I get details on how to ...
About 6 months ago I snagged an 800KK with a 1960A cab for $700 Canadian. Loved the sound with the boost engaged but sold it because it didn't have a loop or footswitch. Too bad really, could have been a keeper.
Yes the amp is that good. The JMD1 is a tube amp with a very unique digital preamp. It will do JCM900 tones. At $500 its a hell of a lot of amp. How is the digital preamp? I figured the tube power section would help get some tube like tones, just wondering if the front end makes it sound digital, o...
I have the opportunity to snag a JMD:1 head for $500. I've never been a tube snob so I am intrigued at having so many Marshall tones at my disposal. Is this head really that good or should I buy the mint JCM900 4100 another guy has for $900?
Hey Pat6969, I bought a used 2266c about four months ago. The fx loop was blown when I got it. Just got around to getting it repaired. He replaced a few fried components and said it could have been caused by a surge. Cant help you with how long the repair will last, but I can tell you that the loop...
Been searching a bit but can't really find what I'm looking for. I have the opportunity to trade my EVH 5150 50 watt head for a VM 2266. I'm just wondering if the FX loop issues are quite regular or not. I use my loop regularly so I need to rely on it. I also read that putting a ECC81 in V2 will tam...
