Re: SV, SC, how about a SM

it would be a pity if they did a SA without the 3 modes of channel 2, but it would be best to replace the 2 push buttons with a 3 position toggle switch. Pb I see is that if you want to keep the form factor of the studio series, you'd have two lines of knobs like in the combo. please get rid of midi...

Re: Modulus Amp Mod800 build (2204 circuit)

the kit with the headshell included (but no valves) was a bit more than 800€. Could have been cheaper had i bought all parts separately but it was my first build. In terms of hours, it's been long because it was my first turret board and first full amp (was used to PCB and little effects circuits or...

Modulus Amp Mod800 build (2204 circuit)

Hi, Some pics from a build I made last autumn. Mod800 from Modulus Amp (a kind of 2204 replica) : https://reho.st/self/369aeb228bd55d59fa18fecaa632de38c6110881.jpg https://reho.st/self/ffac04a1f4f6acc4317f09ac2183ca56fe936617.jpg https://reho.st/medium/self/c8e75796ff440bfbc5f291a83dce4942a2c09885.j...

you do not want to do this on a 6101. It's already a pain in the ass to service, if you replace connectors by solders, you make servicing those amps even worse...

Re: 6101 MIDI Repair

I've seen some factory marshalls with this kind of glue on radial big caps. It's supposed to help prevent these caps from vibrating and cracking their solder joints to the board. Some repair-shops put some when they resolder caps or do a recap. I've even done it but with a better glue (that doesn't ...

Re: Studio Series Price

Personally I’d completely agree Marshall would say that to raise the price. Although I’d disagree on sticking an extra £1000 on a amp because of the use of a turret board and the extra time to wire it up. yet it's awesome to look at a well made turretboard. But in a way, it gets into artisan territ...

Re: SV, SC, how about a SM

nope, logically, the next one should be the SA (for studio anniversary), 30th Ann. based. :D
much more expensive though (3 multivoiced channels can't be cheap)

I really need to hold myself to not jump on a "order" button somewhere…
But I still have some tweaks to make to my 2204 replica… later in the year maybe

Re: Marshall 2019 namm

Classic arrived yesterday. Only been able to play at low volume with/without an attenuator. Will be able to turn it up at The Weeknd. One thing i noticed a very noticeable volume drop when the loop is engaged. If anyone who has one could check on their amp I’d be grateful. did you check with just a...
