Hats Off To Steve D

Postby Murfdog » 05 Dec 2009, 19:05

I'm sure this has been said quite a few times on this forum, but appreciation should never get old!

I bought my VM 2266C used about two weeks ago, and it's the best sounding amp I've owned! My amp does have some noise issues that need to be taken care of(which I expected purchasing a used amp), but as far as tone, it's just amazing! I've owned a few Marshalls in my day, including a JCM800 2203 head, JCM900 100W head, and a DSL401 combo. The Vintage Modern takes the cake without a doubt.

Anyway, I just wanted to say; GREAT JOB STEVE! :clap

+10000000000000000

Absolutely the best amp I have ever owned. And I have owned a Mesa Boogie Mark IIB with all the features and housed in Koa. I gave that up for this amp and haven't looked back once.
Guitars:
2007 Fender American Deluxe Ash Strat
1990 Gibson Les Paul Studio

Amp:
Marshall Vintage Modern 2466
Cab:
Mesa Recto Vertical 2x12 (Vintage 30's)
Pedals:
Keeley Compressor > EVH Wah > Twosome > Fulltone FD2 Mosfet > Suhr Riot
