There have been some very good settings posted... an archive is definitely in order! Thanks Altanon!

Here is one of my favorite Strat (neck p/u) clean settings:

Reverb 2
Master 5 +
Presence 3.5
Bass 5.25
Middle 6.5
Treble 5.5
Low Range
Mid Boost out
Detail 4.5
Body 4

This setting really seems to compliment the UniVibe and Wha for those "ultra clean" Hendrix Tones. I'll slap a mic on there and try to upload a clip.

Reverb: 6.5
Master: 4+
Presence: 3.5-4
Bass:7.3
Middle: 9.5
Treble: 6.5
Mid-Boost On
High dynamic on
Detail:8.5
Body:4.8


Seriosuly at full it's like a Appetite. Lower it, it's like zeppelin. Best tone I've found on the VM so far.

Okay, so here's the settings I currently use for bedroom level practicing. I'm running an LP into the RC Booster (off most of the time) into a 2466 head & 425a cab. No other effects.

Reverb: 1
Master Volume: just audible (about .3)
Presence: 9
Bass: 3.5
Middle: 7.5
Treble: 10

Dynamic Range: High
Mid Boost: On

Detail: 2
Body: 2.5

This is how I have the 2466 set. However things really change up using the OCD and the volume on the guitar. The setting below gives me everything I could want.

Reverb: 4
Master: 7
Presence: 3
Bass:6
Middle: 5
Treble: 7
Mid-Boost On
High dynamic off
Detail:6
Body:4

I use a Keeley modded SD-1 out front with the level cranked, the gain low or off and the tone knob set to 1:00. Usually use my old Rocktron intellifex

Ya know, this one is good with a Les Paul. It's helped me get rid of some of the fartiness. Where do you put the bass? Mine sounds fine at noon.

This setting is used with my ZW-44 OD for my lead work. I love the tone I get with this. I play a Dean USA Hardtail with Duncan JB/59 pups.

I'm extremely surprise to see that most people turn the Mid Boost On... That's my opinion, but personnaly I think the sound loose some definition (a bit muddy) when the mid boost is engaged... That's my personnal taste and I know that I'm very old school. I had a few Plexi (and Metal face) amp in the past : 1973 1959 100W, 1969 1987 50W, JTM45, 1959, 1987 reissue, Metroamp and you really need to turn the Mid Boost Off to get that sound, no doubt about it, idem for the JCM-800 2203-2204 tone, and early Guns n' Roses (appetite for destruction)...


Oh, one last setting, for the Jimi Hendrix kind of tone... (use your guitar volume knob to clean everything)

Ya, I put it at about noon, but since I posted this I have found a better setting. :P

Seems most people leave their mid boost off. I think it sounds much better & just plain bigger with it on. I almost never turn it off. Guess it's just me!

I'm in your camp...even with my Les Paul. I leave the mid boost in and back off the Mid pot to 4 or so. Go figure 8)
