Well, since Surf was brave enough to upload some of his singing I thought It'd be fair for me to do the same.

Here's a couple of things I recorded a few years ago when I was going to try to do the singer/songwriter thing. Unfortunately, the only thing worse than my singing is my lyric writing so I didn't get very far. Just a couple short rough ideas I put down.

On an ironic side note, the song "I think about you" wasn't about anyone in particular however my dog Sara made an appearance on the recording. She is no longer with us and the song is now about her.

Don't beat yourself up too much man you sound great to me and your overall vibe sounds relevant to today's sounds. Sorry Sara is no longer with you.

Only critique is "...think about you" sounds strikingly similar to "All Along the Watchtower" ;-)

Yea, I agree, "think" was recoded when I was going through a heavy Dylan phase and "Watchtower" is one of my favorites. I actually came up with the intro first and those just happened to be the chords. Different key & tempo but, yea, pretty similar. I even think my vocal delivery was a bit "Dylan-esque".

hehe yeah I catch myself doing that all the time. I think I have something new and unique and then it dawns on me that it's another song I heard before.
