So you think it's difficult to figure out which tube went south in your amp?

I don't understand that amp, for what purpose do all those tubes serve? I mean you would have over $700 in tubes if you had to replace them. Just don't understand the technoligy on that amp.

That rig is a tone synthesizer and amplifier for a Cordovox accordion: http://www.elderly.com/items/160U-104.htm

The box with the pile of tubes is the tone generator, basically a very early analog synthesizer made with tubes. Probably all the tubes are pentodes of some type. That must be a nightmare to repair...
