Soldano Hot Rod

Postby Mats A » 21 Feb 2015, 13:36

I've never tried a Soldano. They don't sell them here in Sweden. I guess they're just too expensive to sell. I wonder is it kind of nasal sounding like the EVH 5150 III? How does it compare to a Marshall. Think i've red that Eddie didn't like that it wasn't as fast in attack when he hit the string as his Marshall or something like that.

I played one a few years ago, it completely changed everything I thought I knew about guitar amps. Literally everything I played sounded good, it was amazing. I will own one some day

Mats, from the amps and tones you say you like I think you should look at Bogner and if there's anywhere near you that's started stocking them Friedman
les Paul -> cry baby -> mxr/CAE boost/line driver -> mxr m77 super bad ass modified OD -> marshall 2266 front end ->loop -> TC flashback delay -> mxr 10 band EQ -> marshall sv-1 chorus -> loop return -> marshall mf280a 4x12 cab

Soldano Hot Rod useful for both cars and gear, pursuing the perfect look and performance can be time consuming and expensive.

Soldano Hot Rod

There ain't a lot of Bogner and Friedman here in Sweden. They're way to expensive i believe. My brother has two Laneys that he has modded to a Bogner and a Soldano. Also a friend i play in one of my bands recently bought a Made in Japan Soldano Series II Super Lead 60 and it sounds good. My brother used to have a Japanese made Soldano preamp and he was told there was the same parts in it as US made Soldanos. It sounded great too. But i think i like my 1959 with a booster more.
