Carol Ann Amps...

Postby skinnyj » 02 Oct 2019, 11:49

I just went to the Carol Ann website and was surprised to see this: Carol Ann Amplifiers. I wonder if other boutique amp markers are seeing a decline in demand.

I also didn't realize they were in my backyard (Salem, NH).

Time will tell. There is a glut of used gear out there, good used gear so i would think any small company trying to survive against the bigger boys may very well be in for rough waters.

It would seem to me that with a lot of the big manufactures creating their own boutique style amps it would be very difficult for small boutique manufacturers to compete. Some of the more established boutique companies can probably survive because of their reputation but I would imagine it's a much more difficult market as more and more try to get into the field. Although with modern trends in music I would not be surprised if there is also a decline in sales of guitar amps generally speaking. It still amazes me as to how many different brands and models there are currently on the market most definitely too much water in the wine .
