Please forgive me !

Postby Sigi M » 01 Nov 2012, 13:10

This is my ORANGE stack. I tried to hide it, but today I compared it with my Marshalls.
It sounds very good. Nice cleans an very British CHRUNCH.
The Amp is a AD 30 HTC, the bottom Cab has Celestion V30 speakers. They are from 2002.
But the upper Cab is a ´72 with Celestion G12 H 30. It sounds awesome with Marshall Amps.
Especially with the Vintage Modern!

Don't be sorry, that amp smokes.

My band mate's got one which he uses through a mode4 cab.

Very responsive to volume controls and sounds great.

He tried to turn me on to them, but I prefer Marshall. :yea

Sigi, there is no need to apologize. There are so many great amps out there that are not Marshall's. This in no way takes away from who Marshall is and what amps they have. Amps from Fender, Diezel, ENGL, Mesa, Fryette, and Orange are all serious options for any player. For any Marshall loyalist to close their mind to them makes no sense.

All my amps are Marshall's, only because I love them and have been playing them since 1974, but there are other amps I would like to own such as a old Hiwatt DR-103, Vox AC30, and I really like the Mesa Roadking. Those are all really great amps but I still stay with my Marshall's by my choice.

The new Orange amp you got is a good amp, it just needs to be put downstairs in the corner somewhere. :think I have played with the enemy before too. :doh
