Class 5 section?

Postby slowpokerhino » 31 Jul 2009, 11:00

I like to be as democratic as possible. After all, this is everybody's forum. From time to time I'll ask you guys for your input via a poll and let you guys decide on ways to change/improve the forum.

Anyway, since the Class 5 is a Steve D designed amp (a cousin to the VM?) and there's been quite a bit of interest here I was wondering if it deserves it owns section on this forum.

Low wattage amps have a huge following and a real place in the industry, both for practice/rehearsal as well as recording
I think there is enough interest to see where it goes, you can always merge the topics into another section.

I voted no, since we have a section dedicated to other amps already. However, let's see what kind of following this amp gets and we may add a section later.

For now it appears to be the closest thing to a little VM. I'm still hoping for basically a 15 watt VM head with the dual range gains. But I will seek this amp out to at least give it a once over.

I voted yes since, how many amp forums are frequented by the designer of that amp? Not too many to my knowledge.
Let's not divide Steve's appreciated and helpful presence between two forums.

After all, we're all gonna get this amp so why add yet another bookmark?

Nice going Basshole! :bgrin

I'm probably going to hold off on this for a couple of months or so until the amps are actually out and available.
