No, only the amps we have manufactured out of the UK have the black piping, like the MA and JMD. The Haze was already in production when this was decided.

For what it's worth... cast my vote for white piping on Marshall amps. The black piping cheapens the overall look, like a detail was forgotten... IMHO.

I suspect it is a cost cutting measure, as they probably got a great deal on a large quantity of black piping, and it will turn up all over the Marshall line. Sad.

As for the gold piping, save it for amps that look like the Plexi era. For my money, if an amp resembles the JCM era, it should have white piping.

(What do I know... I still hate that God-awful purple tolex with gold piping look on the VM's. I guess I'm a stubborn Marshall JCM purist. I so wanted to see that amp in black with white trim.)

Welcome to the forum David Vee. :Thumbs

Black piping was purely for differentiation, not cost cutting.

Thanks, Steve.
Glad to hear Marshall hasn't done any foolish cosmetic cost cutting... and despite my personal preferences, Marshalls rule no matter what they look like.
I should know... I own many. (DRP-1, Reverb 12, Zakk Wylde mini-stack, Artist 3203, Artist 4203, TSL60, JTM-45 reissue, JCM 2205, and the 2061x)

So many talk of the JCM amps. To me if I close my eyes and vision a Marshall it´s a late 70´s JMP amp. These were the look of the amps my favorite bands used when I was a kid. :cowbell

Are you sure about that? The JCM 2000 DSL-100 head I am looking at has black piping on the head....not white. I thought it kinda odd at the time. Does this mean that some JCM-2000's were not made in the UK?

None that I'm aware of, all built in the UK as all of our flagship amps are. Maybe a special order. Like I said, it's not cheaper, just different.

If a person didn't like the black piping, is the front panel removable to facilitate changing the piping...and is the piping available at a service parts seller? Just asking....not sure I am for it or against it...just want to know the options.

Yes John the front baffle is removable from inside the head box , it just unscrews .. the piping is held in place by small staples , it's easily removable by prying up the staples using a small screwdriver ..
You need a staple gun to re-attach the new piping just cut the new piping the same as the old stuff was ... it's a pretty straight forward operation .
