JCM 800 2210 from 1984

Postby Mats A » 09 Jul 2011, 11:55

I´ve seen a 2210 JCM 800 Split Channel head made in 1984 for sale here. I wonder i got 2 quite different schematics for the 2205/2210 models. Marshall soon modified the model and i was told back then that they only had sold the newer modded version in scandinavia. The 4 diodes that is part of the distortion is changed to a bridge and a diode and the tone stack was placed much earlier in the first version. This amp was only a combo for the american market at first. Can this from 1984 be the first version? Anybody who knows the story on this?

Not sure if this will help or not but the linked article below has a lot of information about the JCM800s I didn't know. Also I included another link to more information which has schematics specs for the 800s.
