Sometimes i think the 2205/2210 amps lacks a bit of top end. It´s like it was cut off. Maybe that is why John Norum is using his wah wah on solos so much to get the top end.pleximaster wrote:I bought a 900 stack in 94 and sold it ten years ago when everything with diod clipping was a nono, including silver jubilees. I had a full stack 100watt 50 watter a later again a 100 watter jub sold them and the 900 as the first generally exepted attenuators became everymans thing revitalising the old plexis and 4-holers.
However the 900 have thier place in Marshall history and you can use it for many differentstyles of music. Good amp for a gigging musician but perhaps not the one and only amp I would bring to the studio.
Might get one now, in a few years they are "vintage" ...
Yesterday I bought a 2210 JCM 800 (have a 2205) for less money then the new JCM1 1 watter amp. The are the forberer of the 900 series but with a bit more growl.
Best plexi
Got to get rid of my JVM first.Patrik wrote:I have two Dual Reverb Mats but I'm selling one of them since I ordered the YJM 100 so now
you know where to get one
I think they work really well, especially channel A if you use good tubes and bias them properly
