Well, Overtone....it would tend to sound just like any tube amp with a digital preamp going into the front end, i.e., a Pod or Ultra FX or those types of things.

Well, Beck-Ola....Do you think "Softube" Digital preamp is like the "POD" or the "UltraFX" ?

If i may remind you, the JMD:1 still got one tube at the preamp stage and to my opinion it sounds better than the "POD" not sure about the "UltraFX" cause i didnt try it yet, but i think that the softube is at list as good as the "UltraFX".

You misunderstood what I said. I never suggested they all sound the same. Just using them as examples. And no, there are no tubes in the preamp.
