First time I tried a blues tune with the JMD so see what you think of the tone (I like it). I was using preamp 5 with the Hardwire OD.

Lyrics

Took a walk out back, heard that thunder of big block Chevy coming down..hell yea
Well took a walk out back now baby, ain't no mistaking that sweet sound
Well 454 and four on the floor
you better watch out now she coming to town...oh yea

She's tuned cammed and clean, people say that's one bad ass machine ...hell ya
hey you drop that clutch and step on the gas better hold on boy, were smoking that ass
Move on down the boulevard baby, the men don't dare the women just stare..oh yea

That's when I saw her there, so I dropped a gear spun around to get near..oh yea
She was hot tall and nasty, she looked so good I stopped my Chevy as fast I could
I said come on get in my baby, I got 600 horses under the hood

So I took out of town, she hey boy do you want to fool around..oh yea
Well I said come on over here darling, this bad boys gonna rev it on up
I started it up and hit the redline took another gear, oh she fine

ohhhh yea,
oh pretty baby come on back for a second time around

:Thumbs
Very nasty tone just like a chevy.... :bgrin
It is a very good song. This tone is easy to get on the JMD .
I also like the bluestones with lucille in the crunch modes with
gain at 9 oclock and volume at 5 oclock and MV dimed.
Taking the clean modes and using a zendrive also gives nice results.
The possibilities with this amp are endless and for myself i already know
its just like the VM a keeper for life.

Thanks man, I was beginning to wonder if I should stay out of the "blues" song writting business. :dunno The tone I was chasing here was Mark Knopfler who is one of my top 5 players and I think the JMD nailed it. I am working on a modern jazz tune know and having a blast with it.
