I use it either as an overdrive or as a booster depending on the situation.
That is a great pedal! Had that one too.
Here's an old picture showing my (then) pedalboard. Right there in the front row are the Fulltone Fat Boost & Keeley Ts-808 and Blues Driver. The only thing remaining from this rig are my Strat & the Twin (now in retirement).

That looks like a really nice setup. How did you like the boss blues driver? i think im going to go try it out at a guitar center. I cant wait to get my rc booster tho. I also need a pedal board, any recommendations on pedal boards?

I've never played a stock one so I can't say how the Keeley differs. It's more transparent than the Tube Screamer & has more available gain. More muscle if you will.

I had my pedalboard custom made to fit in a Fender Briefcase. I had it made by this Guy:

It was quite awhile ago & I still have it. Very nice workmanship & I have no complaints.

Hi.
I use a bd2 for bb king songs.( for stinging sounds at lower volumes)
gain 9 oclock volume 2 oclock.
The OCD is not suitable for this.
Lately i use my bd2 also to boost the high range, in this setting it is also more
transparent than the OCD or lovepedal COT 50.
The bd2 is a very underestamated pedal.
You can play bb blues also without a pedal and dime the master.BB king does not need a pedal either.
BB plays slow but very accurate, he uses alot of subtle half bends and little vibratos. The guitar books
have alot of big faults so it is better to listen very carefully to his songs . My former guitar teacher have played
once on stage together with bb king and he can play all his songs. I shall never forget the first day i walked in
with my bb kings tabsbook. He opened my eyes and showed me all the mistakes from the tabbook. It looks easy but
to play it the way bb does is not so easy........i am still learning to get there.
Good luck,
Bluesbrother.

On the VM low range? Keeley Java Boost. It's sweet.

Try a Fat-Boost, the original versions are going pretty cheap right now on eBay, and they sound great. A Java Boost or a Beano Boost will work as well, but they cost more and color your sound much more. I happen to really like the coloration.
I have the original Fat-Boost and a Beano Boost. I've sold off all my OD/Distortion pedals except my Crunch Box, which rarely gets used anymore, but I just can't sell it.

You will not get a volume boost in high range with any pedal. Steve has discussed this before. A boost pedal will only add more gain. Some have had better luck using an EQ or pedal to cut the volume and then turn off the pedal to give the boost.
