Thomas Organ Vox Wah Find

Postby Green Manalishi » 25 Sep 2008, 21:20

Today for the price of $85 I got a Vox Wah and a Menatone King of the Britains. I was expecting a reissue Vox wah, but when I picked it up, it was a Thomas Organ, Made in Sepulveda!

So I plugged it in, and it was beautiful! I already have a Fulltone Clyde Deluxe, and side by side, the Vox is smoother and sweeter.

I was really after the Menatone pedal, and figured i'd sell the Vox for $50 or so, but now I am debating keeping the Vox and selling my Clyde.

Congrats! I used a Thomas wah (made in Chicago) for many years and when it finally gave up the ship I started searching for a replacement. I'm still looking.
If you send it to Keeley he will make it true bypass, add a LED & put an internal volume control so you don't get the volume drop when you turn it on (you can even set it for a slight boost if you want). Very good upgrades to a great sounding wah.

I did the mods myself (true bypass and volume mod), and it is a great wah.
