There were not 2800 of them made only 2300. In the scheme of the AFD I guess asking $600 over retail for the AFD is bait he has a good chance of getting a bite on. I don't think he is a authorized Marshall dealer though because doing this would get them in trouble.

He used a 1977 jmp modded (aka #36) by Frank levi who "copied" the mod out of a modded 1959t that was done by Tim caswell.
Frank did his own tweaks to #36 and it is said that it sounded better than #39.

It is a subject of great debate what the amp make/model #36 was made out of. Frank Levi Himself sent me a partial list of marshalls he has modded and #36 was on it with the serial# of the amp. So theres no ? about it that it was a 1977 jmp. If only the exact specs of the mod were listed! lol, I wish anyways

#36 and #39 were amps that could be used/rented from a rehearsal studio in LA called S.I.R studios. The amps in their inventory were stenciled using a numbering system to keep track of them.

Same goes for #34 with slash used/owns on the illusions records. Frank Levi modded that one himself and is a little bit different from #36.

As for what happened to #36 and #39, no one knows, or no ones talking.

Wait 20 years and see what the prices of these are. The Silver Jubilee and 2555SL go for a pricey amount these days. I dont think a $600 upcharge is that bad because the quantity is so limited. Personally, I wouldnt take less than double ($4000).

that is exactly what i thought. the sl2555 will probably go down a little but in price, but i think the silver ones will stay where they are. they are both very limited runs.

check this one out! 6K! i'd sell mine for that much! get me a sweet R9 and and metro or germino! but i doubt the seller will get that especially when another one is going for 2750.
