Nah, Chris had it like that to be able to show people what the amp could do. Normally you are going to set it up and leave it. While those controls could have been installed on the front Yngwie wanted to stay with the classic look.

And what a good decision that was !
If you want to go vintage plexi the front should not look like a Christmas three.
I love how the YJM turned out.
Plexi sound - with tons of extra features - and a great vintage look ! Can't wait to get it :-)

Still it´s if you go by the sound or the looks. It would be more practical to have them on the front. But i agree i´d rather have a plexi looking like a plexi. Still i don´t know why i´m so narrow minded :roll

They did the YJM100 perfectly. Yngwie has so much class to keep the original look of the amp's front panel and the small signature. :yea

Still my favourite look on a Marshall is the late 70´s JMP look. Like the AFD but with a gold front and a larger logo! I´d rather have that than the plexi look :truce

Almost... I just can't come to terms with digital reverb unless it's a new one and / or radically improved from the VM unit.

The VM digital reverb never worked for me, I could never find a sweet spot for it unfortunately.

Both the VM and YJM come with plate reverb, the VM is more subtle and the YJM more pronounced.

I think the reverb on the VM is kind of dull. The reverb on the JVM sounds much better i think. Still i don´t use reverb that often i prefer echoe.

Playing cleaner stuff the reverb is not too bad on the VM...I've grown to like it a little bit actually. Gotta have it about 7-10 but it works decent. Even on distorted leads its an ok reverb it just takes the right application for it to shine and thats mostly for when you need just a little bit of ambiance. With that said it certainly won't outdo my Boss RV-3 in any of its reverb catogories and I still think Marshall should have left it off the VM as to not give critics anything to complain about.

I rarely did but it's not great paying for something you don't like.

I'd much prefer, like the AFD, not having, not paying for it and add my own. :yea :yea :yea

In the big picture, it's not a big deal. There are more important things in life to be concerned over :Thumbs
