Booster on YJM

Postby Mats A » 09 May 2011, 14:22

Is the booster on the YJM a clean booster or can it be overdriven like an overdrive pedal?

The booster which can be turned on or off via the footswitch is based off the DOD 308, so no it is not a clean boost.

Just as i thought. Then i´m gonna use my own booster even if it´s possible to just use the volume and not turn the gain up so much that it distorts on the amps booster.

The DOD 308 will change the tone quite a lot even if you turn down the gain and up the level. I know since I have one. But hey, you might like the DOD. If you don't, just don't engage it. Use your preferred booster instead. No problem as I see it.

No of course i will try the built in booster. Just that i try to stay away from distortion pedals don´t really like using them.
