How the hell do I autobias this thing?

Postby romeomotive » 23 Oct 2011, 11:43

Do you hold both the FX and 50 watt switch BEFORE turning on the amp? Do you leave standby on? :wtf

I have messed with this a little bit, I can't really get anything to happen.

The only thing the manual has is different tubes and their power ratings.

Help!

is it really necessary to re-auto biasing the new amp ?

in my opinion (CMIIW) , it is not necesary , because that amp had already well biasing from the factory , isn't it ?
(except when you change the tube type, from EL34 to 6550, or from the old tube to the new one)

I just want to know how to do it, Statoman. It may or may not be necessary as a new amp, I would just like to try it out.

So if anybody owns the amp currently, please help me out.

Lol.. I had the same initial issue when I got it, took me awhile to figure it out.

Hold down the both the FX and 50 watt switch and flick the power switch on. Make sure you hold it until the the led lights at the back starts blinking.
All the lights will stop once it is done.

:Cheers
