Can you comment on the attenuator? Does it hurt the tone at low volumes?

Does not hurt a thing.

The big difference is not pushing the speakers to a moderate breaking point.

But that recording was NOT done quietly! :Thumbs

You lose a lot of the amps distortion when you turn the EPA down low.

..Of course.. LOUD IS BETTER!!!! Always and for every amp!!! but EPA is a good thing to have a bedroom amp , stadium amp and pub amp only in one! with the sound of a Plexy

Well if i play the amp on full with an outboard attenuator i get plenty of distortion but with the EPA turned down low or at bedroom level there is not enought distortion for my needs wich is type 70´s hard rock anyway. And i don´t like mega amounts of gain. Just enough to get plenty of sustain.
