Last I heard they would be available around September. There will be a set number that comes with the guitar and whiskey and some without you can buy if you just want the amp. Very limited numbers. I remember hearing 50 with the guitar and 50 without.

This is the one amp SteveD was tasked with getting right, not an easy task I would think.

The project is progressing nicely and is hopefully going to be on schedule for the last quarter of this year.
There will be 100 made of the limited edition and 50 of those will be paired with the Gibson/Marshall guitar. There is also the standard edition which will be lower cost (but not low cost). The standard edition will be available as an ongoing product in our catalogue.

Both models are hand wired.

The limited edition will have Celestion alnico T652 speakers and the standard will have G12C greenbacks.

The limited edition will have an aluminium chassis like the original in 1965.

The limited edition will have E C Collins fret.

The circuit is identical in both models including transformer sets from the original supplier, Drake.

Steve,
did you had a chance of trying both chassis (alu vs steel) with same speakers ?? honestly, are there any audible differences ??
just curious...

The difference if any would be quite subtle but there is too much difference between one amp and another due to tolerance ranges to make a listening test worthwhile.

Dear Steve D.,

Could you tell me if the non-limited Bluesbreaker will really be in Handwired (not vintage) catalogue soon ? Not only for 2012, but for several years ? (I can't afford it by now, but I really want one !)
Will it be available with KT 66 or 5881 valves ?
And its valves will be mounted in a horizontal way or vertical way (like a head) ?

Regards and thanks for all the attention you give to us !

David
