surf iv seen you recommend the OCD a number of times on here. i never really had any interest cos id never really looked it up but i checked out that link and now i really want one!! i was reading how the clipping diodes are connected to a floating bias point and that sorta thing, which results in the dynamics of the OCD!! that sounds cool!! i want one now!! :)surfnorthwest wrote:The OCD works perfect with the VM. The OCD and the VM work well together because it simply does not change the tone of this wonderful amp. I will push it nicely and using it in low range is where I find it to work best, no way do you need it in high range IMO. I also find it to work better with humbuckers rather than single coil pickups but that is not to say Strats don't also benefit from it.surf iv seen you recommend the OCD a number of times on here. i
No need for me I should say :) , I find more than enough gain in high range so my point was that the pedal really benefits the low range better and that is where I find the OCD helpful. If I engage the OCD in high range using my current settings I have to be careful because I will start the amp squealing like a pig.Why are you saying there's no need using it in the high range?
