Unsoldered the 470 cap from my 2204 yesterday, pretty happy with the results :dance . I find it rounded out the overall tone of the old girl, you can push the preamp stage harder without the harshness. I can definitely see why so many others have removed that cap. Totally worth the 5 minutes to warm up my soldering gun. Figure i'm probably going to leave it out for good. This is an awesome amp now, with JJ KT77's, it's the perfect companion with my VM. :blues
