That's the point! You feel less "distorted" sound but what you get is less body in the TONE. But you may feel more compressed with Body pot going to max...
I don't think the body and detail of VM as distortion pot's like a pedal or whatever.
I see those two great knobs as the body and soul of the overall TONE of this great amp.
There are so few amps in the market that reacts like VM.
Rolling the Master Volume also has effect on Body And Detail. So much interaction in here.
This amp is so amazing.
Keep experimenting. That's the key.
Different guitars will have different effect/tone, also.

Actually this is generally correct. Steve has a few additional tricks in there, but it is a good general description of what the knobs are doing. yeah but with 'Taters they add more low mids and the tone can sometimes be muddy! ya dont get the same harmonic overtones!! hence thats where gravy comes in! it takes the dryness out and ands to the flavour of the meat!!Altanon wrote:Well, to be contrary, I would've called it "Meat and 'Taters."
