hi there, i am Tim. i live in sw washington state...
this would be my first post and thought i would introduce myself and ask for some advice. two birds...right?
i am 5 or 6 months into my first electric guitar, been playing acoustics for about a year longer. i am 40 years in this world.
i play between 1.5 to 6 hours a day. i stink but have a great time with it.
on to the real problems...
i picked up a project marshall lead 100 mosfet.
many of the knobs are scratchy and have dead or dim spots in the rotation.
there is a rattle inside (no problem, i got that)
tolex coming up along the face.
i am primarily concerned with the knobbage scratchy-fadey thing.
soldering and such should not be a problem either. but i am a total newbie when it comes to tracking quality parts and such for repairing amps.
i go into it with much enthusiasm, i only wish i had a tube amp to repair instead.
my other equipmet consists of: gibson les paul studio, line 6 spider IV 15w , marshall class5 in creamy white. plus two taylors: DN3 and a GA-12 a little martin and a 3/4 strat for travel and the wee lass when she feels like playing with her old man.
now that i have ed up all this introductory info, id like to :rocker or with my new old amp without too much :cuss that would be ...
thanks
